Arca Shares Intense Video For “Reverie,” The Latest Track From His New Album

Venezuelan-born producer Alejandro Ghersi, aka Arca, has shared an emotionally intense video for his new track “Reverie.” Shot in one take, the bullfighting-themed visual stars Ghersi as a bleeding, wounded matador, stumbling around in stilts against a bold red background. “Bullfighting is a piercing metaphor: you are fighting a bull, and at the same your self. You are not the victim or the oppressor, you are bothanimality and bestiality are conflated,” said Ghersi in a press release. “Evoking sex invokes our animality.” “Reverie” is the third track from Arca’s forthcoming self-titled album, out April 7 on XL Recordings.
